Our statement of purpose

We exist to create great places by improving current neighbourhoods and building new ones; our aim is to provide and manage mixed tenure areas that offer a range of homes for rent and sale in places where people choose to live. We also want to offer choice in all parts of the housing market by designing a set of products and financial services to allow customers to rent, part rent/part own or own outright depending on their circumstances.

The Group has specialist companies that provide housing for affordable rent and sale, market rent and sale, commercial property, regeneration products and childcare. Each of these activities can be delivered independently where required.

By combining the different elements of the Group and maximising its financial strength, the Group is able to produce solutions which in other settings would require a whole range of private/public partnerships and different funding arrangements. The Group aims to be able to provide these services as one organisation. We will produce a broad range of housing solutions, local infrastructure, specialist care and support service, employment and training opportunities and other community services to create places where people want to live.
